Mars Rover “Perseverance” to Land on Red Planet Today

The Mars rover named Perseverance will land today on the Red Planet after launching in July. To land, the rover will have to slow down from 12-thousand-miles-per-hour, deploy a parachute, search for a safe place to land, and touch down in Jezero crater.

Mark Rober is a former NASA engineer turned YouTube celebrity. This video does a good job of explaining the mission.
